| Fr. Joseph Classen is a native of historic St. Charles Missouri. He holds a BA in Philosophy from St. Louis University and a Masters of Divinity from Kenrick-
Glennon Theological Seminary. Fr. Classen was ordained to the priesthood in 2003
and is currently living and serving in the St. Louis Archdiocese. Along with his priestly ministry, Fr. Classen is a dedicated, passionate, and
accomplished outdoorsman. This passion has become a vehicle for him to reach out
and share the good news of Jesus Christ with Christians of all traditions, and also
with those who perhaps are still searching for the gift of faith. In his outdoor writing,
Fr. Classen shares many engaging tales of adventure as well as offering insight and
wisdom in the ways of the wild, along with a good bit of humor. The power of God
and the gift of the great outdoors: this is the mission of Hunting for God Fishing for
the Lord, and, the upcoming second volume. (Click

Recognizing the dire need to re-educate and re-evangelize Catholics throughout the
world, especially in the USA, Fr. Classen’s Meat & Potatoes Catholicism
is a no-holds-
barred, down to earth, direct and understandable approach to the basic, fundamental
teachings of the Church. Fr. Classen does not shy away from the issues that are on
the minds of the faithful today and he quite thoroughly explains how Church
teachings apply to the lives of all Catholics. This volume (and those that will follow)
is specifically geared towards Catholics, but it is also a rich source of information
for those inquiring about the faith.
